Hey everyone, welcome to BeardMonkey.net. I use this site to help other understand the game and write my opinion on certain aspects of the Kingdoms of Middle Earth. I do my best to cover every possible (important) topic related to the game and provide you with new information as soon as possible.

Information is split up into Articles and Blog. Under articles are filed posts of a permanent nature, providing information on various subjects which remain unchanged or are updated regularly. Under the blog category posts are made of a more temporary nature, concerning quick updates or more opinion based material.

The Index page lists all the articles and is the best way to find information. Articles are divided in the categories Kom101/beginner, Heroes and Equipment, Campaign, Troops and War, Alliance, Cities and Buildings, Tournaments,and Gameplay and Updates.

Please remember that this is not an official site in any way for the game or our alliance, just a collection of my thoughts on certain subjects.

  3. i keep on typing my kabam password in when i try to login. my password is correct but it still wont let me login. anyone know what to do or been through this problem aswel?

  7. How in the world can an attack of 188,000 crossbow warrior troops wipe out my entire city of troops? I opened up my city because I saw what was coming and he was able to wipe out over 300 million troops in my city when I had over 1million of the same troops waiting for him forget about the millions of master rangers stone Giants etc.? I am dumbfounded and looking for help? Thank you, Bobby

  9. Since they have done the service mantance my game will not load at all!! I have uninstalled and re installed. I even tried downloading it on another device and it did the same thing any advice

  12. I would really like to know which is more important. The base attack and life stats on hero, or the %of buffs, attack, life,n and debuffs. For attack and life.

    • With all this new gear, you can get very high buff % by mixing gear, example using Fairfield bow for bilbo and so on but u lose the bonuses for matching gear with hero’s, so what is the most important, the high base hero numbers or buff %

    • the only way to increase troop maximum in terms of jewels is to load up you cloak with purple gems. i have 4x level 8 & 9 purple gems in the 4 gem slots and this drastically improved my troop max. then you can take it further and “Enhance’ your cloak and select other armor to sacrifice in order to boost up your cloak item and when the bar fills past each of the 4 points, you get a troop increase. be sure to use hobbit builders, then ascension runes, then master runes then master builders to take you muster field to level *11. i have only 2 level 8 gems to replace with level 9 and i’ll have the most troop amount that can be sent out at one time that is possible in the game. currently at 198K max. this is what my gems are like
      RED gems – sword (level 8 red increase attack 64%)
      BLUE gems – shield (level 8 blue decreases E’ attack 64%)
      YELLOW gems – ring (level 9 yellow decreases E’ Life 96%)
      GREEN gems – amulet (level 8 green increases life 64%)
      if you have purple on any other armor type other than cloak, you will not increase troop amount.
      level 8’s are 64% and level 9’s are 96%

  14. Perplexing question . As regent I should have the answer . My player cannot get his skill levels beyond level 5 . It seems everything is built . Been playing so long ( 2 years) and I could just upgrade skills straight away . Feel a bit of a doughnut for asking this as I normally do have an answer for most things . This however has stumped me . Any offers of assistance. would be welcome . Tinol151

    • Your player needs to make sure he know his Kabam ID and Password. Uninstall the App and Reinstall. This may not work the first time so he may need to do this a couple of time. It is a glitch that Gaea are aware of however it’s not their top priority to fix yet.

Been playing so long ( 2 years) and I could just upgrade skills straight away . Feel a bit of a doughnut for asking this as I normally do have an answer for everything. This however has stumped me . Any offers of assistance. would be welcome .

  23. Has Beard Monkey now retired from Updating this website? If so I’d like to Thank him for everything he has done and created here as it has been an amazing tool for most people who play HOBBIT KOM. I know speaking from all the alliances I’ve played on this website has been a pivotal teaching tool.

    • It is best to remember not to leave gems in the sword if you decide to upgrade it.
      You only have it for a specific amt of time as the guidlines set up illustrate.
      I would suggest not upgrading or enhancing unless you have significant amts of extra valtos and scrap gear to enhance with.
      Personally,
      I used the sword as long as possible and upgraded it – right before kascam was going to take it back, I used it to enhance another piece of gear i needed for one of my mining heros.
      This way my efforts were not entirely wasted and the enhancement did not disappear after the deadline – hence probably best use.

  31. Ok i have been trying to figure out what legendary Thursday’s are. They are in my inventory but I can’t use them and can’t find them anywhere. What are they and how do I use them it’s driving me crazy

    • Go to your sage tower in city one to trade them in. Unless you missed the trade deadline. Always check Sage tower in city 1 and laketown for trading all this “stuff” that Kabam puts in boxes.
